Concordia Lutheran College: The Power of eduSTACK

Introducing Concordia Lutheran College

Digistorm is proud to feature Concordia Lutheran College as one of its case studies, with the school now implementing all four Digistorm products into their working processes. Over the years, the school has invested in the full eduSTACK, including, eduAPP, Enrol, eduSITE and Funnel.

Our journey with the school first began in 2013 when Concordia adopted eduAPP to help as an efficient communication method for their existing school community. Pleased with the outcome of the school app, Concordia contacted Digistorm about building custom online Enrol forms which would aid our enrolment process and store all candidate information in one place.  Fast forward to present day, Concordia now uses all four Digistorm products, including eduSITE and Funnel.

We spoke to Bianca, the Director of Marketing and Enrolments at Concordia to find out more about why they chose Digistorm and their experience of using our products.

What were the reasons for choosing to use a school mobile app and custom built website?

We needed something which would be easy to use and responsive to our requests. Before using eduSITE, we had to contact an external web editor to make edits and amendments to the website each time. This was rather time-consuming and costly, and we realised it would be so much easier for our team to have access to the backend so that we could have the flexibility to make changes whenever necessary.  The school mobile app gave us a platform to communicate with parents and students, which made sending notifications and updates a lot easier than sending mail shots each time.

Would you describe a few of the reasons you decided to invest in Digistorm products?

We chose Digistorm because it has a great reputation among the K-12 school ecosystem and the company has always been very easy to work with. They have been able to listen to our needs and design something which suited our requirements. After seeing such positive results from using the app and Enrol, we decided to branch out even further and invest in a custom made website.  

Then, we noticed the need for a cleaner client relationship management system which would allow for all candidate data to be stored in one place.  I explained our requirement needs and Digistorm suggested Funnel, the built in CRM system. It has been great! Working in conjunction with our online enrolment forms, Funnel was able to gather all our candidate information together and allow us to keep track of our admissions process.

How many people in the team use the products? How do you and the team use each product?

The Marketing Officer and I are responsible for the website.  We are able to build new pages on the website and make changes and adjustments when possible. This has made the process so simple and convenient for us. A few more members of staff have access to the app, including the reception, administration and marketing teams. The app has been a useful tool to send push notifications and general updates.  

For Funnel and Enrol, the College Registrar and I have access. The CRM system has been hugely beneficial to us and has made a really positive impact on our enrolment process.  

What product do you prefer using the most?

In terms of ease of use and adaptability, the website has been great.  It gives us the flexibility to be creative and add new pages and features. Since the implementation of eduSITE, we have published all our newsletters to the website, whereas in the past we would email the newsletter as a PDF attachment to parents.

With regards to marketing and communication, Funnel is really fun to use and there is a lot of potential for us to grow in this area. The platform has become a really effective tool for us, giving us the opportunity to enhance our digital marketing efforts and assist with our general communication with parents. It has also dramatically improved productivity, by allowing us to have everything we need in a centralised database.

Have you seen any noticeable improvements in productivity or time savings?

Using Funnel has created amazing outcomes for us. It has improved the way we do things and our customer service. It has helped me to understand the complete process of enrolments and generally made it more manageable. Funnel has also been embraced by our registrar as a tool to track enquiries and also communicate with candidates through to enrolment. Before using Funnel, there was no fixed CRM system in place and we simply used Excel to record most of our enrolments. Now, we have an all encompassing database with everything in one place, making it so convenient for all those who use the system. We can just log into Funnel and check on the status for each student in the enrolment process, while having access to historical conversations between school staff and parents.

Would you recommend Digistorm products to other schools?

Yes I would definitely recommend the products to other schools. In our case, having all the products linked together has improved our overall functionality in terms of general communication and customer service.  

All in all, we have had a great experience with the team at Digistorm, and I highly recommend their products. Digistorm has always made us feel like an important customer and been very responsive to our requirements.
